| August 30, 2013

digital_treeThis summer’s National Digital Marketing Conferences were some of the best we’ve seen! Though the summer is coming to an end, we can combat our sorrows with a fall filled with exciting industry events! Start off strong in September with Portland’s TechFest NW, a 3 day addition to MusicFestNW that honors the best in technology, startups, and design culture in Portland. Then, head to Content Marketing World & The Social Shakeup, two of the fall’s can’t-miss events!

HERE ARE THOROUGHLY MODERN MARKETING’S PICKS FOR TOP MARKETING EVENTS IN SEPTEMBER:

1) TechFestNW  – September 6-8 at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, Portland, OR. Register: $325

TFNW is the little sister to MusicfestNW, the towering music festival (34,000 attendees), that has taken over the city of Portland for five days each year since 1995. In 2012, three days of tech programming were added, which honor and explore the technology, startups, and design culture that make Portland a digital hub.

Curated by Rick Turoczy, founder of PIE, (The Portland Incubator Experiment) and author of tech blog Silicon Florist, TechFest’s panel-driven events and parties are a perfect complement to MFNW. It’s the reason why Fortune Magazine was good enough to say about TFNW: “Tech may have found its next SXSW.” TechFestNW takes over the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, hosting two dynamic streams of speaker programming, an exhibit showcasing the story of crowdfunding, an aerial drone competition, a startup crawl of local up and comers, and even more parties.
